Gramma Bonnie's Banana Bread

 Bonnie's Banana Bread Recipe
Whisk 1 c. sugar and 1/2 c. oil (i.e. canola) together.
Add 2 eggs, 1c. (2 medium) bananas mashed, 1/2 c. yogurt and 1 tsp. vanilla.
Add 1/2c. nuts if you eat that sort of thing (we omitted).
When thoroughly mixed together, fold in 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt (we used Pamela's gluten free baking mix so we didn't need to add the salt and soda) just until moistened.

Pour into greased/floured pan (or cooking spray if nonstick).  Bake at 350 for 55 minutes- 1 hour.
Makes 1 loaf.

Toddler day in the studio

The primary and XP classes made a loaf of bread to share with the toddlers.
And it was well received by them!
It's wonderful having the toddlers in the studio.  We minimize the works available and the tods enjoy discovering the works and exploring the space.

There's an elephant in the studio...

The Artisan Center has invited us to create another window installation the first week of April and we are so excited! The children have been brainstorming ideas and while their suggestions were varied there was a common hope of having an animal take center stage.  So we settled on an elephant as our main attraction. Here is a sneak preview...
