Our seed explorations continue in the studio. Several children have added to our seed chart, bringing seeds from home. Several co-teachers have gathered flowers and seed pods to share and we are talking as a group about seeds and plants, fall and birds and much more.
It's such an exciting time of year! If you have stories to share or seeds to add to our collection, please come by the studio and I would be happy to gather your experiences to plant in our garden of thoughts, ideas and inspirations.
On Friday a parent came into the studio excited to share her families seed mystery story:
Angelina I have an interesting story to tell you. I have a huge sunflower in our garden. It just sprouted up. We went to the garden store and we bought
squash, cucumbers, tomatoes and more but we never planted sunflowers. No sunflowers. It’s the kids garden and it’s in a raised
box. We didn't expect any sunflowers.
The kids have lots of theories about the garden:
Q thinks it might have come from sunflower
seeds we ate. But we haven’t eaten
any.
S thinks it may have blown over from a neighbors yard.

Q thinks it might be the handiwork of flower fairies from
the fairy garden.
We don't know.
It's a mystery.
We don't know.
It's a mystery.
