the passage of time

When we consider time and the passage of time, what does that actually mean in tangible terms?  Change?  In the studio we decided to explore a rotten tomato calendar.  Each day a child and I slice the top off one of our luscious garden tomatoes and add it to our time line.  The children check on the progress of the calendar as time impacts each of the tomato tops in turn.  Together we watch the ephemeral nature of living things and observe the beautiful impact of decay and the passage of time.
Similarly our wonder jars are providing more observational opportunities along these lines.  Things rot and change.  We watch and wonder.  If you have any interesting objects to share with the studio to further our inquiry, please send them in.
